This package is identical to the requirements for a 30m x 40m manege. Our complete riding arena packages are suitable for indoor or outdoor use and can also be applied to paddocks, turning areas, stables and suchlike. Entry level maneges (or menages) are the most popular, specifically designed for leisurely, private use several times a week. For details on installation and maintenance see our applications page. Across the market clients find that 650gsm Non-Woven Geotex is regularly specified for all manner of riding arenas and horse maneges, but this is over-specifying for the job. Unless your arena needs to achieve the highest of standards and will be used for competitions and suchlike, lower grades of geotextile membrane are perfectly efficient. For a 30 x 40m or 20 x 60m arena we provide three full rolls of geotextile membrane, covering 1350 square metres in total. This allows for 100sqm of overlap. The recommended practice is to use a woven geotextile above the drainage layer and non-woven above the stone/aggregate, below the silica sand or chosen surface material. Occasionally, clients may opt not to use geotex in the base layer. This package includes:
